Project Description
Project Overview
EA has successfully delivered two commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV plants in Mexico, with capacities of 15.6 MW and 6.8 MW. Both projects were completed and became fully operational in 2023.
Status & Timeline
The plants achieved COD in 2023 and are now fully online, supplying renewable power directly to local business operations.
Technical Details
The systems are built with EA’s high-efficiency monocrystalline solar modules, optimized for Mexico’s high insolation conditions. Each installation integrates smart inverters to ensure stable and reliable power delivery to on-site facilities, including resorts and hotels.
Partners
These projects were implemented in collaboration with local developers and a major hospitality chain. One of the solar plants directly powers a large resort complex. Financing was secured through a mix of local bank loans and EA’s capital investment.
Description
By sourcing nearly 60% of a resort’s electricity demand from solar, these projects have significantly reduced energy costs and carbon emissions. They demonstrate EA’s ability to design and deliver tailored solar solutions for private sector clients in Latin America, particularly in industries with high and consistent energy demand such as hospitality.
Verification
Both projects are verified through their successful operation and are included in EA’s official project portfolio. Their commercial impact was further highlighted in stakeholder meetings, including the “Solar for Mexico Hotel” briefing held on August 14, 2025.
